It’s that time of the month when I start picking out my favourite moments and products from the previous month. I can’t believe we’ve only got December to get through and then it’s 2020. Time flies when you’re having fun! November has been a bit of a funny one this year for me. In particular I was plagued with a horrible illness for most of the month. Even now, I have no idea what I actually had! Despite all this, it hasn’t stopped me from enjoying myself and making more memories. Might be a slightly smaller month in terms of favourites but here’s a small collection for November.
One way to end the 2019 theme park season with a bang was with Alton Towers Fireworks display, and this year was by far my favourite. This is purely down to the fact that not only were there lots of cool light effects during the show, but the lasers were BACK! It was like being back to the 2012/2013 fireworks where the park made good use of the lights and lasers on the lake in front of the Towers. Despite my illness, I enjoyed watching the fireworks across 3 nights and it’s definitely become an annual tradition for me now.
Another highlight of November was getting the chance to experience Longleat’s Festival of Light event. It may have been a very cold weekend but it was definitely one of the best ways to spend my birthday weekend. Not only did I get the chance to see some really cute animals (including Koalas!) but seeing all the lanterns at night was truly spectacular. You can read my full review here.
I finally ticked off visiting Hogwarts in the Snow event at Harry Potter Studio Tour. It was a truly magical experience and something I’ve always enjoyed on my previous visits. Says a lot that we spent around 5 hours exploring everything the tour has to offer! It certainly got me in a festive mood now that we are officially in the lead up to Christmas. Vanilla Pumpkin Hand Cream
You know Winter is here when you need to scrape ice off your car and layer up immensely on your commute to work. We always need to look after our hands as they get cold and dry very fast in the winter, which is why my next favourite is The Body Shop Hand Creams. These are fantastic at keeping my skin soft and moisturised during the winter months and also helps to keep my nails growing strong too.
Revolution Soph X Eyeshadow Palette
I’ve recently got myself back into wearing eyeshadow again. Granted when I go to work, I don’t really need to go all out with my makeup but sometimes a neutral shimmer shade makes all the difference. The Soph x Revolution palette is my favourite as it has all the colours you need to create some beautiful yet neutral looks, plus the quality of the shades are amazing. Very pigmented without needing to dip too far into the shades. Of course I’ll need to watch a few more tutorials before I start delving into some more brighter colours. You can buy the palette from Superdrug for just £10, the perfect Christmas present.
That’s all for now!
