Monthly Favourites – September Edition

I knew September was going to be a good month, and it sure as hell delivered some fantastic memories and things to highlight in my favourites for this month. September can be that funny month where Autumn starts kicking in but you end up experiencing weird weather – hello ‘Indian Summer’ heatwave – where you end up cold in the morning and hot in the afternoon, how does a girl know how to dress when the weather/temperatures are all over the place?! Anywho, I want to address all the things that really made September one hell of a great month…

New creds

I went on holiday so it isn’t really any surprise that I have featured this as top of my favourites in September. But more to the point, I gained a total of 48 new creds on this road trip, which is quite a collection as I’m sure the last time I gathered so many creds in a road trip was back in 2016 – or if you want to be specific, back in June this year! I was buzzing to get myself back on that plane to Germany so I could experience more new parks and creds – some particular favourites include Fenix at Toverland, Colossos & Flug der Dรคmonen at Heide Park, Untamed at Walibi Holland, Van Helsing’s Factory at Movie Park Germany and Fluch von Novgorod at Hansa Park. I will always have that wanderlust bug – and I am already starting to get my 2020 trip plans sorted.

Maybelline Hyper Precise All Day Matte Eyeliner

Away from theme parks and rollercoasters, I have been on the hunt for an eyeliner that 1. Doesn’t leave me with Panda eyes and 2. Is long lasting – I’ve always hated my wing liner from disappearing after a hardcore day of theme parking. What is a girl to do? After browsing through a ton of eyeliners from various brands, I stumbled upon this bad boy. I never read a single review of this product so didn’t quite know how good this was going to be… and I wasn’t disappointed. It’s not waterproof so ladies, if you are on water rides, cover your face or wear setting spray but I was super impressed with how well it stayed on my eyes even after a long day at theme parks, especially during the hot periods on my holiday where I was sweating away (Sweaty is sexy, right?). I hope Maybelline don’t discontinue this as I’ve found my all time favourite eyeliner right here.

White Chocolate Buttons

When I first discovered that Cadbury’s would be bringing out a white chocolate range, I was super excited. I loved their Dream chocolate bars from back in the day – white chocolate is so yummy! In particular, I wanted to delve into their white chocolate buttons and after one button, I couldn’t stop. I can eat bags and bags of these, day in, day out. Get yourself down to your local supermarket white chocolate lovers and grab yourself a bag – your perfect sugar fix for this season.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte

I’m a sucker for Pumpkin Spice Latte so of course, I have to include this in my favourites for this month. This year they have introduced ICED Pumpkin Spice Latte and I’m living for it. It tastes just as good as your standard PSL but if you have that Autumn day where the temperature is hitting the mid-late teens, grab yourself the Iced version as the perfect cooldown. Plus, I also have the added advantage that a Starbucks is literally right outside my office building, so just a good excuse to grab one everyday right? I’m trying to make sure I don’t spend all my money on this but you know, if money was no object, I’d be having loads of these.

Thorpe Park Fright Nights

It’s officially Halloween season now! Kicking off on Saturday 28th September, Fright Nights is now back for the 2019 season. I couldn’t wait to get myself back into some spooky scare mazes, and with the introduction of Creek Freak Massacre, I was even more intrigued by Thorpe’s ‘Most Intense Maze Ever’. I’ll write a full review on this maze as well as the event in another blog post, coming soon, but all I can say is, get yourself down to the Island like No Other and experience Fright Nights for yourself. Not only do you have their collection of scare mazes to encounter but 10pm closes mean… nighttime riding. Find out more about Thorpe Park Fright Nights here.

That’s all for now!

Lottie xoxo
